Harry Styles Wants You to Cum

My adult feminist self has officially met my young Directioner self, and it’s all because of a vibrator. But not just any vibrator—Harry Styles’ vibrator.
Just a month ago, Harry’s gender-neutral beauty and lifestyle brand, Pleasing, launched “Pleasing Yourself—a radical pursuit of what feels good, with two new products that put pleasure right where it belongs: in your hands (or theirs).”
The collection features The Pleasing Double-Sided Vibrator and The Pleasing Lube. And ladies, the fun doesn’t stop there. Pleasing Yourself is also “collaborating with Planned Parenthood to support sexual wellness through education, access, and advocacy,” even distributing limited-edition ‘I’m for Planned Parenthood’ condoms at their pop-up shop event on July 25th-27th in NYC.
Pleasing Yourself was developed in collaboration with Sex Educator, Author, & Founder of Spectrum Boutique, Zoë Ligon, who has since been hosting a virtual guide to pleasure, answering questions via Pleasing’s Instagram channel.
Now that we got the details out of the way, I’m going to take a minute to scream how much I love this. Ahhhhhhh I love this! Thank you. I needed that.
But seriously, this is one of the coolest celebrity launches I’ve heard about in a long time. Harry Styles played a huge part in my sexual awakening as a pre-teen, and now he’s helping to release shame and encouraging women to pleasure themselves. Talk about a full-circle moment!
“Please yourself like you mean it is a call to play, to give permission, to follow your curiosity, and to explore with everything you’ve got.” Where was that energy when I was younger?
It’s no secret that our society often disregards a woman’s sexual needs and desires. Why would women need to enjoy sex? They’re just the receiver of a man’s pleasure, right?
WRONG.
Women deserve to be pleasured just as much as men do. Some would argue that women deserve it more than men (I am some 🙋🏼♀️). Nonetheless, women’s pleasure is considered taboo and masturbation is shameful.
That’s why Harry Styles launching Pleasing Yourself to his predominantly young women fanbase is a huge deal! With a simple vibrator and lube release, he’s making it okay for girls and women to explore their bodies and find what feels good.
Now, I don’t love the notion that we need a man to make it acceptable for us as women to embrace our sexuality, but a man of this influence is definitely impactful. I should know, I once threw a birthday celebration for Harry in my bedroom.
The best part of Pleasing Yourself is their collaboration with Planned Parenthood. In the wake of the federal government defunding Planned Parenthood, a partnership like this one goes a long way in supporting their work.
Harry Styles is making the statement that he cares about sexual health care and reproductive rights. And this isn’t his first time making political advances. Pleasing partners with various organizations that support women, food insecurities, the LGBTQ+ community, and climate change.
His brand, as a whole, aims to challenge traditional beauty standards and embrace a more fluid approach to sexuality. Pleasing is all about finding the tiny joys in life and creating a safe space for self-expression.
From accessories to nail polish, and now sexual wellness products, Harry Styles is redefining how we feel about pleasure. While he may not directly be saying he wants you to cum, he wants you to cum if YOU want to cum.
